Privacy Policy

This policy explains how PAPERWRK ("we", "us") handles personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

• Account details: your email address and password (stored securely as a hash), and your business details — business name, ABN, licence number, address, phone.
• Document content: the job descriptions, client details (names, addresses, contact details) and answers you enter, and the documents generated from them.
• Billing details: your subscription plan and payment status. Card numbers are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Usage data: basic technical logs (such as document counts and error logs) used to run and improve the Service.

2. How we use it

We use your information to provide the Service: generating your documents, storing them in your vault, managing your subscription, and supporting you. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your clients' details for marketing.

3. Who processes your data

We use trusted service providers to operate PAPERWRK:

• Supabase — our database and login system, storing your account, business details and documents.
• Anthropic — when you generate a document, the job details and related inputs you provide are processed by Anthropic's API to produce the document text. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
• Stripe — subscription payments.
• Google (Firebase) — website and app hosting.
• Mailchimp — our mailing list, if you subscribe to updates.

4. Overseas storage

Some of our providers store or process data outside Australia (including in Asia, the United States and the European Union). Where data is handled overseas, we rely on providers with strong contractual and security commitments consistent with Australian privacy standards.

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to your documents is restricted to your account through row-level security, and payment details never touch our systems. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

6. Access, correction and deletion

You can view and update your business details in the app at any time. You can delete individual documents from your vault. To access, correct or delete other personal information, or to close your account and have your data deleted, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in. If we add analytics in future, this policy will be updated first.

8. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
