Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and PAPERWRK ("we", "us"), an Australian business, covering your use of the PAPERWRK app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. What PAPERWRK does

PAPERWRK generates business documents — quotes, safety documents, contracts, tenders and similar — from information you provide. Documents are generated automatically based on your input and general Australian compliance standards current at the time templates were prepared.

2. Your responsibility for documents

Documents generated by PAPERWRK are a starting point, not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing every document before you use it, ensuring it is accurate and complete, and ensuring it meets the legal, safety and regulatory requirements that apply to your specific work, trade, site and state or territory.

• Safety documents (SWMS, JSA, WHS packs) must be reviewed and adapted to your actual site conditions before work commences. PAPERWRK does not replace your obligations under work health and safety law.
• Contracts and agreements may have significant legal consequences. We recommend independent legal advice for high-value or long-term engagements.
• PAPERWRK is not a law firm, accounting firm or safety consultancy, and no output of the Service is legal, financial or safety advice.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and using the Service for business purposes.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans are billed monthly in advance in Australian dollars via our payment provider, Stripe. Current pricing is shown on our website.
• You can cancel any time; your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial months, except where required by law.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next billing cycle.
• Fair use: plans described as "unlimited" are subject to fair use. Automated, scripted or resale-scale generation is not permitted, and we may throttle or suspend accounts whose usage is far outside normal business use for a single trade business.

5. Your content

You own the information you enter and the documents you generate. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service — storing your documents, processing your inputs to generate documents, and displaying your content back to you. We do not sell your content or use your client details for marketing.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to create fraudulent, misleading or unlawful documents; to infringe others' rights; to attempt to access other users' data; or to interfere with the operation of the Service.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify features with reasonable notice for material changes.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Where our liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Service or the cost of re-supplying it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from your use of or reliance on generated documents contrary to section 2.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable. On closure you can request a copy of your stored documents within 30 days.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
